GGMSN brings a multi-faceted approach to walking alongside women, children, and families who desire continued care and guidance. This program serves as a front-line service approach for pregnant women and a long-term approach to aftercare. We are committed to fostering a culture of life and addressing the long-term and complex challenges like homelessness, addiction, and family support—one family at a time.
For Every Mother, at Any Stage
Guiding Grace promises an unconditional, unbiased, holistic approach to support women at every stage of motherhood. Every mother’s unique journey is met with intention and grace.
Maternal Care & Pregnancy Program
This program supports women from pregnancy through 12 months postpartum, providing coordinated care, breastfeeding and mental health support, peer and addiction recovery groups, and case management. We foster a supportive community committed for life, offering love, guidance, and aftercare programs for as long as needed, including material and financial assistance to help offset living costs.
Aftercare for Life
This program is open to all referred families, and extends the services of our Maternal Care & Pregnancy Program with additional case management, career and education support, parenting and co-dependency classes, grief support, retreats, and AA/NA meetings. We also offer services for men in our families’ lives to strengthen community and family bonds. Committed for life, we understand that overcoming barriers requires time, patience, and consistent support.
Children’s Programs
To break the cycle of generational poverty, our programs support not only mothers but also their children by providing safe, licensed childcare during classes and events. While parents focus on personal growth, children engage in activities like reading clubs, tutoring, nutrition classes, and science projects. We also host holiday parties and group field trips to create memorable experiences and foster learning in a supportive environment.
When You Support Mothers, You Affirm Life
Guiding Grace Giving Days
Guiding Grace hosts five Giving Days per month, where families can shop for needed items free of charge. These events are promoted on our calendar, and you can support them by volunteering, hosting donation drives, or donating items like toiletries, cleaning supplies, and children’s clothing, which are listed on our social media.
Walking With Moms
Walking with Moms in Need is a national initiative aimed at supporting pregnant and parenting mothers facing challenges by connecting them with local Catholic Churches and necessary resources. Volunteers provide authentic Christian friendship and ongoing support throughout the motherhood journey. Guiding Grace is proud to collaborate with Metro-area churches to answer this vital call.

All families we serve are below the national poverty line and receive support free of charge as long as they need it. Executive Director
Guiding Grace Executive Director Gina Tomes brings 33 years of experience, passion, and dedication to serving women experiencing unplanned pregnancy. She understands the quality of care needed and how to implement a program that works. Gina’s experience working in the maternity home and pregnancy care space has led to launching many families on and upward path to independence, health, responsible parenting, sobriety, educational achievements, community connectiveness and enjoying the life God intended for them to live.
